Locust Grove, OK EF2 Tornado – Aug 10, 2011! 5 mile path. Destroyed a double wide mobile home, debris carried several hundred yards downstream. 82-year-old Beverly Reed was killed. Two more single wide mobile homes were damaged, 2 people were injured. Read the full summary here

August 10, 1928: An F2 tornado destroyed several tenant homes near Batesburg, SC. These were spawned by a tropical storm. Two people were killed and 9 were injured.

On this day in 2010, a brief but intense EF2 tornado struck near Holmes, ND. Several pieces of farm equipment were tossed, and a grain bin was thrown 300 yards. Source.

On this day in 1924, an F4 tornado hit Thurman, CO. A farm was leveled. The men had left after seeing a tornado touch down to help rescue anyone. They found no damage.
