On August 30, 1971, an estimated F2 tornado traveled 4.7 miles through parts of Maricopa County, AZ. It began in an unpopulated area of south Tempe. As it moved northeast into a more populated area, there was considerable damage to homes, utilities and trees. August 30, 1920: Grazulis documents an estimated F2 tornado that hit parts of Richland County, OH. Two men were injured as several buildings were destroyed in the Bangorville area.
An EF2 tornado tracked along a 1.6 mile “U” shaped path, about 13 miles north of Miller, SD on this day in 2020. It struck an RV. The driver was killed, and the vehicle was rolled about 200 yards. Corn was flattened, as well. For more information, check out the summary from NWS Aberdeen.
