Tornado Talk Summary

There has been two F4/EF4 tornadoes on Christmas Eve since records began in 1950. We look at one of those in this summary that hit in 1988. It traveled an intermittent six mile path through parts of Williamson County, TN. Seven were injured and one was killed. Read the full summary here

December 24, 1945: An F2 tornado destroyed six houses, two churches, and a store NW of Sumrall, MS. Three were killed in one home. One body was carried for a quarter mile. “Groceries from the store were scattered across half a quare mile.” 

Twister From The 2000s

December 24, 2002: An F1 tornado tracked for 33 miles across Henry County, AL, into Early County, GA. Six planes and a hangar at the Headland Airport were destroyed. Several mobile homes along the path were damaged or destroyed, and ten people were injured. Source
