Tornado Talk Summary

The state of Missouri was hit by 17 tornadoes on December 31, 2010. Three were given a rating of EF-3. We look at one of those in this summary. It tracked 7.5 miles over Fort Leonard Wood in Pulaski County. There were four injuries. Read the full summary here

December 31, 1947: What may have been a family tornadoes that traveled 50 miles occurred on this day across portions of Louisiana and Arkansas. The town of Cotton Valley was devastated. Along the path there were 18 fatalities and 225 injuries. Grazulis rated this F4.

Twister From The 2000s

December 31, 2010: An EF3 tornado tracked for 21 miles from near Westville, OK, through Cincinnati, AR. Several homes were destroyed, and extensive tree damage occurred. Four people were killed, and ten people were injured. Source

A high-end EF3 tornado passes through the St. Louis, Missouri suburb of Sunset Hills on December 31, 2010. Numerous homes were damaged, including several that were destroyed.
