From NWS BirminghamA tornado track was identified from far northern Blount County (NWS Birmingham) into southern Marshall County (NWS Huntsville). The EF-0 tornado had maximum winds estimated around 85 mph, which uprooted trees along its path. The tornado damage path was 1.94 miles long in the BMX service area, with a width of 150 yards. The stats shown above (path & start/end time) are for the NWS Birmingham part of the track only.

From NWS HuntsvilleThe tornado touched down in far northeast Blount County and crossed the Marshall County line about 1 mile west-southwest of Meadowbrook Drive. The tornado tracked approximately three miles crossing Alabama Highway 79 South, where dozens of trees were uprooted and a couple of homes sustained minor roof damage.  The tornado continued to the east-northeast uprooting several more trees before lifting along Foster Road.
