Hundreds of trees were blown down by the straight-line winds mentioned above as the storm pushed northeast across Townville, with some structural damage mainly due to trees on homes. However, before the strong winds reached Hartwell Lake on the northeast side of town, another brief and weak anticyclonic circulation developed, embedded in the larger area of damaging winds. This brief tornado resulted in a concentration of downed trees on the lake side of Forest Drive and the end of Circle Drive. The circulation moved over the lake with no notable damage on the other side.
