Tornado Talk Summary

11 tornadoes struck parts of south-central and southeast Texas on January 14, 1991. The strongest was an F2 that hit in Bastrop County. Three homes were damaged and young calves were killed in a pasture. This summary focuses on an F1 tornado in Colorado County. January 14, 1932: East of Eaton, TN, a possible F4 tornado swept away nine “substantial homes.” 10 of 13 members of one family were killed.

January 14, 2005: An F2 tornado dipped briefly just northeast of Rockwell, NC. Along the 0.30 mile path, two metal buildings and a barn were leveled. Source

On this day in 2003, Linda Gail Lewis the sister of Jerry Lee Lewis, dropped a claim of sex discrimination against Van Morrison. Lewis had claimed that Morrison had ‘publicly humiliated’ her on stage and had tried to ruin her life by asking her for sex. She withdrew her claim after discussions with her lawyer.
