January 16, 1926: Grazulis documents an F2 tornado that moved near Taylor, TX. Several barns were destroyed and livestock were killed. 

Twister From The 2000s

January 16, 2017: An EF0 or an EF1 tornado tracked along a 3-mile path just northwest of Mexia, TX. Several buildings were damaged at the Mexia State Supported Living Center. This is listed as an EF0 in the SPC and NCDC databases, however the Damage Assessment Toolkit (DAT) and the NWS Summary list the tornado as an EF1. Source.
