Lima, OH F3 Tornado – July 19, 1950. Hundreds of homes were damaged, 3 were destroyed. A drive-in theater, which had only been built 2 weeks before the tornado hit, was leveled. The Lennox Furnacing Company was unroofed and a wall collapsed. Read the full summary here!

July 19, 1935: Grazulis documents an F2 tornado in Jefferson County, NY. A woman and her child were killed at their farm house near Philadelphia. “The husband-father watched from a field as the farm house was thrown over a 12-foot ledge and collapsed.”

On this day in 2018, an EF3 tornado moved through downtown Marshalltown IA; several businesses were damaged or destroyed. The clock tower on the courthouse was demolished. The Lennox plant on the east side of town was ripped apart. 22 people were injured. Source.
