June 3, 1933: Grazulis documents an F2 tornado that moved near Wilmot, SD. Dozens of farms were hit and debris was scattered for miles. A man was killed in a barn.
On this day in 2008, an EF3 tornado struck Moscow, IN. One person was killed and 8 were injured. Dozens of homes were damaged or destroyed, including some that were swept away. Source.
