Tornado Talk Summary

A tornado swept through Bessemer, AL on this day in 1963; it was given a rating of F4. Thomas Grazulis in Significant Tornadoes, though, believes the damage was more consistent with an F3 rating. Over 200 buildings were damaged, and ~30 others were destroyed.  Read the full summary here

March 5, 1943: An F2 tornado moved three miles near San Augustine, TX. Grazulis said there was tornado and downburst damage observed. 50 homes and four chruches were heavily damaged. A boy was killed on a bicycle but Grazulis denotes that may not have been due to the torando. There were eight injuries.

On this day in 2011, an EF2 tornado struck Rayne, LA. 683 homes were damaged or torn apart. One person was killed and 12 were injured. Source
