May 10, 1880: An F4 tornado moved 20 miles through Scott and Morgan Counties in Illinois. “The tornado was at its most violent south of Pisgah.” 50 head of livestock was killed and 30 buildings were demolished. Seven people were killed and 18 injured.

Twister From The 2000s

On this day in 2016 an EF3 tornado tracked for 19 miles passing just north of Mayfield, KY. Dozens of structures including mobile homes, businesses, barns, and garages were destroyed. Several homes received major damage or were destroyed. Some cars were tossed around and lofted atop other cars or structures. Ten people were injured. Source.
