Tornado Talk Summary

A devastating F3 tornado tore through parts of McClain, Cleveland and Oklahoma counties in Oklahoma during the evening of November 19, 1973. 31 homes, two businesses, and two churches were destroyed at Blanchard. The Royal Park Trailer Park was hit at Moore. Five were killed along the path, including three infants. Read the full summary here

November 19, 1930: A powerful tornado, possible F4, moved NNE from 3 miles west of the Oklahoma City Limits, hitting eastern Bethany. About 1/4 of the town was damaged/destroyed. 3.5 miles NE of the Wiley Post Airport, the Camel Creek school was hit. Five students and a teacher were killed. There was a total of 23 killed from this twister.

Twister From The 2000s

On November 19, 2017, an EF1 tornado tracked for nearly three miles from Plum to Murrysville, PA. The tornado was embedded within a large swath of downburst winds and downed numerous trees. Many homes had shingle damage, and a vehicle was overturned. Source

On this day in 2012, Two farmers were found not guilty of health and safety offences after a giant hay bale crushed former ELO cellist Mike Edwards to death. He was killed instantly when the 600kg bale rolled down a field and landed on his van near Totnes in Devon in September 2010.
