Tornado Talk Summary

Thomas Grazulis documented six tornadoes that occurred on November 4, 1922. We look at one of those twisters in this summary: An estimated F4 that moved through parts of Creek and Pawnee Counties in Oklahoma. There were 40 injuries and 11 fatalities. Grazulis documents another significant tornado in Oklahoma on this day in 1905! It moved 3 miles across portions of Kiowa and Washita Counties. At least 9 homes were destroyed along the northern part of Mountain View. 10 other homes were damaged. There were 8 fatalities and 16 injuries.  Rating given: F3

Twister From The 2000s

On November 4, 2013, an EF0 waterspout tracked for 0.75 miles across Flathead Lake, MT. At times it took on a multiple vortex structure, and the funnel dissipated before reaching the shoreline. Source.

November 4, 1985: The remnants of Hurricane Juan triggered “The Election Day Flood” across the Mid-Atlantic. Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia were particularly hard hit. Over 3,000 homes were destroyed in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, and over 13,000 were destroyed in West Virginia. There was over $1.4 billion in damage, and sadly 62 people lost their lives.
