October 1, 1927: A tornado described as “a gigantic funnel of smoke and fire,” moved nine miles through parts of Hunt County, TX. A house and barn were destroyed 8 miles SW of Campbell. “Leaves fell in Commerce from this tornado but also fell in Greenville from an unknown and unlisted tornado.” Rating given: F2
Twister From The 2000s
On October 1, 2019, an EF1 tornado tracked for 13 miles from SW of Sullivan to NE of North Prairie, WI. Damage was mainly to snapped or uprooted trees, though a few outbuildings and homes sustained minor to moderate damage. Source.Â
