Wayne, NE EF4 Tornado – October 4, 2013: This significant twister reached peak intensity at an industrial park and across the Wayne Municipal Airport. Max winds 170 mph. The Wayne tornado was the first EF4 to affect the state of Nebraska since May 22, 2004. We detail this event with numerous photos and videos here!

October 4, 1848: No rating given to a hurricane-spawned tornado that destroyed three homes at Dennisville, NJ. A hat was carried six miles and part of a roof was carried four miles. Grazulis states the funnel may have begun or ended as a waterspout on Great Egg Harbor.

On October 4, 2019, a tornado touched down briefly near Tenino, WA. It caused no known damage, so it was rated EF-Unkown. Source.
