September 12, 1949: An F2 tornado moved 6.5 miles across portions of Linn County, KS and Bates County, MO. A woman was killed in a hen house as her farm was destroyed south of Amsterdam, MO. Eight were inured along the path.

Twister From The 2000s

An EF1 tornado touched down briefly near Eudora, KS, on September 12, 2008. It traveled just over 1/2 mile, snapping trees and damaging or destroying barns and garages.  For more information, check out the NWS Topeka

September 12, 2006: 3-4″ of rain fell across Evansville, IN. This resulted in flash flooding. Numerous vehicles were stranded in the rising water. Homes and businesses also took on water. Source

On this day in 2008, Kanye West was arrested on suspicion of vandalism after a row with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport. The incident happened before he cleared security screening at the airport before boarding a flight to Hawaii. A camera valued at $10,000 was broken in the incident, according to an airport spokesman.
