February 9, 1937: A possible F2 tornado destroyed a farm house and a barn 2 miles North of Eufaula, AL. “Cattle were killed in the barn and debris was spread for acres.” Three people were injured.

February 9, 2017: An EF2 tornado tracked for 10.6 miles across rural portions of Bulloch and Effingham counties in Georgia. Extensive tree damage occurred, and a few mobile homes were damaged or destroyed. There were seven injuries. Source.Â

A major ice storm affected the Mississippi Delta area on February 9, 1994. This ice caused 95-foot tall steel transmission towers with 42-inch concrete bases to collapse. Engineers estimated the lines would have held up to 39 tons of ice. As much as 6″ of ice accretion occurred. Source.Â
